Why Men Should Probably Moisturize
By Cask & Cabin Editors
Somewhere along the way, men decided skin care was suspicious. This was unfortunate, because wind, sun, shaving, dry air, and bad decisions all happen to the face. Here is the simple version: wash your face, moisturize, and stop treating your forehead like a workbench.
Why bother
Skin dries out, cracks, and ages faster when you ignore it. Shaving strips it, winter air punishes it, and bar soap makes it worse.
Moisturizing is not vanity. It is maintenance, the same way you oil a cast iron pan.
The whole routine
Wash with something made for faces, not the same bar you use on your feet. Then apply a moisturizer while your skin is still slightly damp.
That is it. Two steps, thirty seconds, meaningfully better skin.
The one upgrade
If you shave, a proper razor and a calming balm will do more for your skin than any ten-step regimen.
Keep it simple and you will actually stick with it.
